Group Expectations

Senior 2 Group Expectations

  • Senior 2 swimmers are expected to attend 6 practices each week when there are no morning practices and 8 practices each week on weeks of morning practice.
  • Senior 2 swimmers are expected to attend all long course practices in Savannah during the summer months and on Saturdays year round.
  • All senior 2 swimmers are expected to arrive to practice on time and are expected to stay the full length of practice. This includes dry-land training.
  • Swimmers are expected to attend at least 90% of swim meets throughout each season.

Age Group 3 Expectations

  • Swimmers are expected to attend 5 practices each week during the school year and 7 practices each week during the summer months.
  • Swimmers are exprected to attend all long course practices in Savannah during the summer months and on Saturdays year round.
  • Swimmers are expected to arrive to practice on time and are exprected to stay the full length of practice. This includes dry land.
  • Swimmers are exptect to attend at least 85% of swim meets throughout the season.

  • All swimmers are expected to attend 4 practices each week.
  • All swimmers are exptected to arrive to practice on time and are expected to stay the full length of practice. This includes dry-land.
  • Swimmers are expected to attend at least 75% of swim meets throughout each season.

Age Group 2 Expectations

  • All swimmers are expected to attend 4 practices each week.
  • All swimmers are exptected to arrive to practice on time and are expected to stay the full length of practice. This includes dry-land training.
  • Swimmers are expected to attend at least 75% of swim meets throughout each season.

Age Group 1 Expectations

  • All swimmers are expected to attend 3 practices each week.
  • All swimmers are exptected to arrive to practice on time and are expected to stay the full length of practice.
  • Swimmers are expected to attend at least 50% of swim meets throughout each season.

All Groups

Swimmers and Sportsmanship

  • Demonstrate proper meet behavior (i.e. not throwing cap, goggles, sportsmanship, support teammates)
  • Show respect to your coaches and teammates
  • Respect pools, locker rooms, team equipment and other swimmers' property

Swimmers and Training

  • Understand and take responsibility for attendance and performance, habits in practice and how these relate to meet performance
  • Swimmers are expected to consistentaly improve commitment level and training/racing ability from season to season.
  • Swimmers training attitudes should be productive and supportive.
  • Swimmers are expected to train appropriately for the athlete's experience and stated goals

Swimmers and External Training Factors

  • Time management so practice becomes a high priority
  • Prioritize outside activities in an order that has the least impact on grades and swimming
  • Inform coach of practice absences and reasons

Swimmers' Commitment to Their Team

  • Understand the importance of the "Team"
  • Congratulate teammates regularly during practice and competition
  • Actions show dedication to the team and promote team values
  • Compete in the highest level of competition qualified
  • Take leadership positions as positive role modeling for all teammates
  • Swimmers are expected to conduct themselves in a manner appropriate to promote and support the goals of the team.
